Seminole State College
Seminole State College is a community college with four different campuses all within Seminole County. It is the eighth largest school in the Florida College System and has over 30,000 students enrolled. Many of these students attend the college to receive their Associate in Arts (A.A.) and/or an Associate in Science (A.S.). Sanford/Lake Mary Campus
The Sanford/Lake Mary Seminole State Campus was the first campus to open in 1965 and is located between Lake Mary and Sanford. It is the largest campus of the four. The campus is off of 17-92 in a semi-rural area. Many students consider this campus to be the main campus and prefer to live in the apartments near Seminole State College in order to reduce the commute. Seminole State's newest campus is the Altamonte Springs campus and has all of the College's healthcare programs. It's known as a smaller campus right off of Maitland Boulevard. Just across Interstate 4, the Heathrow Campus is also known as The Center for Economic Development.
