In Orlando, the main public transportation provider is the Central Florida Regional Transportation Authority or LYNX. The LYNX bus system serves all of Orange, Seminole and Osceola counties. There are 71 local routes (called “links”) that run through the tri-county area and the earliest service begins at 4:30 a.m. and the latest bus leaves downtown at 12:15 a.m. Buses can arrive every 15 minutes even on the popular links routes. Downtown Orlando apartment residents can enjoy the convenience of the LYMMO service – a free downtown circulator in partnership with the City of Orlando.
The FastLink service is a weekday morning and afternoon commuter service designed to reduce stops along specific corridors providing a quicker trip. There are so many ways to take advantage of public transportation while living in Orlando. It's been proven that choosing to use public transportation reduces the number of cars on the street, which alleviates traffic congestion. With less traffic, air quality is improved, there's less noise and more money in your pocket.

There's even the KnightLYNX provided by UCF's Student Government Association that helps provide safe Friday and Saturday evening transportation near UCF and to Downtown Orlando.
