Finding the right apartment in Orlando can get quite overwhelming considering the fact that Orlando covers 110.2 square miles and has a population of over 250,000 people. Lee Vista apartments offer you great balance of highways and local routes to get to UCF, Full Sail or Valencia College. Understanding that getting around Orlando, and to school especially, using toll roads such as the 528 and 417 can get costly for students on a budget. Most Florida residents bypass stopping at toll plazas with SunPass, and as a student, it might be in your best interest to invest in one while commuting to and from school. SunPass is a pre-paid toll transponder that allows you to bypass those long lines and get where you need to be as soon as possible.
However, there are routes to just avoid toll roads completely to get to school easily. The Lee Vista community intersects major roads including Semoran Boulevard (SR 436), South Goldenrod Road, South Chickasaw Trail and South Econolockhatchee Trail. Living in an apartment in Lee Vista allows students to get to where they need to go without dealing the heavy traffic in the mornings on toll roads. From Lee Vista to Full Sail its approximately 18 minute drive taking South Goldenrod Road. If you're heading to UCF from the Lee Vista area it's approximately 20 minutes taking Econlockhatchee Trail and East Colonial Drive (FL-50). Valencia College is even closer by taking Econlockhatchee Trail all the way up to Valencia College Lane, which only takes about 10 minutes.
Directions:
On your way to class at Full Sail? It's only a 15-20 minute drive from Lee Vista to school. Head west on Lee Vista Boulevard toward Narcoossee Road (CR 15), turn right on South Goldenrod Road, turn left on Curry Ford Road and head down Semoran Boulevard where it runs into University Boulevard and make your last right and there you are at Full Sail.
Commuting to UCF? Easy. By taking Econlockhatchee Trail (one of the main intersections with Lee Vista Blvd) and turning right on to East Colonial Drive (FL 50), you will hit North Alafaya Trail (FL 434), where you turn left and directs you right to UCF.
Heading to Valencia College? Living by Lee Vista Boulevard gives you two easy routes to school. If you live by the corner of South Econlockhatchee Trail and Lee Vista Boulevard, you can take Econlockhatchee Trail straight to Valencia College Lane. Using South Goldenrod Road is just as easy--head west on Lee Vista Boulevard towards Narcoossee Road, turn right on South Goldenrod and take that all the way up to Valencia College Lane, make a right and the street runs right into the main entrance to the college.
Don't forget to check morning traffic reports for any accidents that could delay you getting to class on time. Heading to class in the early morning? Make sure you've accumulated any extra time to find parking on campus and any possible school zones.
