Living in off-campus housing at the University of Central Florida doesn't mean you have to miss out on the vibrant creative communities available to students. Whether you're interested in fashion, writing, holistic living, or poetry, there are numerous opportunities for you to get involved. Here's how you can join these communities, even while living off-campus.

Transportation Near UCF Campus

All creative communities and organizations mentioned typically meet on campus. If you don't have a car or bike and are living in off-campus Orlando apartments, the UCF shuttle provides a service that can bring you to and from campus. The UCF shuttle runs from Monday through Thursday, from 6:30 AM to 10:30 PM, and on Fridays from 6:30 AM to 8:30 PM. This shuttle service is accessible and can help you attend meetings and events without the need for personal transportation.

Imprint: Imprint, supported by the UCF College of Arts and Humanities, is a student-run magazine with a mission to entertain, empower, and evoke action within the UCF student population. Articles are written by students from all majors, providing a platform to voice ideas and opinions about the community. You don't need to be part of the Department of Writing and Rhetoric to submit an article, making it an inclusive opportunity for any student interested in writing and publishing. You can contribute to Imprint right from your one bedroom apartment  nearby UCF , offering a convenient way to participate in its diverse content and community engagement efforts.

Clubs

Fashion Society: This UCF club has a high acceptance rate, and various committees include design, styling, photography, modeling, beauty, production, social media, website design, and zine. The Fashion Society culminates its activities with a major fashion show at the end of the year, providing a platform for students to showcase their talents and work together on large-scale projects.

Holistic Living: Holistic Living at UCF offers a variety of engaging classes and activities, including crochet classes and jewelry-making workshops. This organization aims to promote holistic health and well-being among the UCF community, providing opportunities for personal growth and creativity. Meetings take place at Lake Claire on campus, conveniently accessible just a drive, bike, or shuttle away from your pet-friendly Orlando apartment. Whether you're interested
in learning a new craft or exploring holistic practices, Holistic Living offers a supportive environment right on campus.

Young Poets Society: Established in 2022, the Young Poets Society nurtures the artistry of slam poets, welcoming both novices and seasoned performers. Members convene monthly to compose and present slam poetry in a supportive and inclusive setting. The club actively updates its social media platforms to announce meeting schedules, events, and performance opportunities, including outings and social gatherings. All enthusiasts of poetry and performance are encouraged to participate in their socials and open mic sessions, fostering a vibrant community of creative expression.

By utilizing this information and getting involved in these organizations and clubs, you can easily become part of the creative community at UCF while living off-campus.
