Thein Cordero, a junior at the University of Central Florida, is dedicated to her pursuit of a degree in Public Relations/Advertising with a minor in Digital Media. Originally leaning towards a major in marketing, Thein's academic journey at UCF redirected her focus to the dynamic field of public relations and advertising, captivated by its creative process and potential impact.
In addition to her academic endeavors, Thein is inherently entrepreneurial. She owns a small thrifting business and actively engages in campus markets and events to connect with the UCF student community. Beyond her studies, she holds active roles in Strike Magazine Orlando and Eclectca Magazine, where she serves as a stylist and PR assistant while nurturing aspirations towards creative direction.
Her involvement in these publications has allowed her to immerse herself in Orlando's vibrant creative scene, forging meaningful connections with fellow UCF students and local talents. Furthermore, Thein dedicates extra time to various freelance projects, spanning from short films to music videos and photo shoots, which highlight her diverse skill set and passion for creativity.
Originally from Tampa, Florida, Thein's decision to relocate to Orlando underscores her dedication to personal growth and academic exploration. She has embraced the challenges of college life, expanding her social and professional networks along the way, paving the path for new opportunities and development.
Outside of her academic and extracurricular pursuits, Thein can be found attending local concerts and exploring nearby beaches and lakes. These experiences provide a chance to recharge beyond the confines of campus life.
