Sarah was only 11 years old when she started a beauty and lifestyle YouTube channel. The channel matured alongside Sarah, as she consistently posted videos throughout middle school, high school, and a little bit of college ranging from makeup tutorials to room tours to advice on applying to college. Sarah's YouTube career led her to discover her passion for content creation and branding, which led Sarah to the University of Florida to pursue a degree in Marketing.
When Sarah was living on The University of Florida campus as a freshman, she lived in an apartment-style dorm with 3 other college-aged girls. She chose to live in an apartment-style dorm so she could forego a meal plan and cook her own food in the shared kitchen instead. When living in a dorm, Sarah got involved in on-campus life by working at the Stephen C. O'Connell Center as a crew member. In this role, Sarah had the opportunity to work with 400+ other students! Sarah loved meeting and collaborating with so many fellow Gators to represent the University of Florida in a professional and friendly manner. When asked about her experience living on campus, Sarah recalled loving the convenience of getting to classes and work quickly, but she was ready for something bigger and more secluded after her freshman year.
Sarah transitioned into off-campus life during her second year at UF and found the perfect apartment for the remainder of her time in college. She chose to live in a smaller community because she loved the quiet atmosphere, close-knit community, and homey feel. Living farther from campus, she had a very spacious apartment and ample opportunity to decorate her space and make it feel like her own. Sarah loves laying out by the pool and going on walks, so her college apartment being on a nature preserve was a huge perk.
Sarah fell in love with apartment living and worked as a leasing agent for over two years in college. Sarah loved the fast-paced and exciting environment of a leasing office. She enjoyed working part-time through college and found the sales and marketing skills she was learning in classes at UF could be applied to her work in the leasing office. Sarah's favorite part of her job as a leasing agent was planning resident events as well as managing the property's social media accounts. This role as a leasing agent also led Sarah to discover her passion for the housing industry and helping students find their perfect apartment. Sarah was thrilled to apply her industry knowledge and marketing skills to her role as a Market Director.
In her free time, Sarah loves cooking new meals and experimenting in the kitchen. She loves cooking almost as much as she loves going out to eat. Some of her favorite cuisines include Mexican (she could eat rice and beans every single day), Asian, and a good burger. She also loves to relax and unwind by reading; Harry Potter is her favorite series of all time (she's definitely a Hufflepuff)! Sarah enjoys traveling and taking weekend trips to the beach or to see family. She has family all over the state of Florida and an older sister in San Francisco whom she loves to visit.
