Take a stroll along the sidewalk that circles the lake and enjoy all the views of downtown Orlando. If you want to get a better view of the lake, you can even rent a swan-shaped paddle boat! Lake Eola Park has lots of green space, perfect for picnicking, yoga or lounging out and diving into a good book. Check out a play or concert at the Walt Disney Amphitheater located in the park. Lake Eola is also home to a weekly Farmers Market. This is more than just your average farmers market, here you will find local and fresh produce, plants, handmade crafts and artwork. Your furry friend is welcome join you while you spend the afternoon perusing the market!

Wekiwa Springs

If you love the outdoors, Wekiwa Springs is the place to go! Open 365 days a year from 8 a.m. to sundown, this state park boasts a crystal-clear spring, hiking trails, camping and canoeing. In the summertime this is the perfect place to cool down, because the springs stays a refreshing 72 degrees all year round! Take a relaxing float or dive in with your snorkel to get a closer look at the spring. Wekiwa Spring pumps out about 43 million gallons of water a day and has a fourfoot average depth. There is no lifeguard on duty, so visitors must swim and snorkel at their own risk. This Florida gem is only a 25-minute ride from your Full Sail apartment. Please keep in mind that there is a small entrance fee to get into the park.

Cocoa Beach

Everyone loves a good road trip, especially when your destination is the beach! Hop on SR 528 for a day trip to Cocoa Beach. In just a little over an hour you can find yourself on Florida's Space Coast. Spend your afternoon basking in Florida sunshine or grab a surfboard and catch some waves. If you're feeling a little more adventurous take a kayak tour, a deep sea fishing excursion or an airboat ride and get face-to-face with some of Florida's most fascinating wildlife. Cocoa Beach is not only the closest beach to your Full Sail apartment, but it is also home to the famous Kennedy Space Center. Here you can get an up close and personal feel for the history of our travels to space. Visit historic launch sites and working space flight facilities. Turn your next trip to the beach into your next big adventure!
