Longwood Neighborhood Attractions

There are plenty of unique things to do in the historic town of Longwood. The Aiguille Rock Climbing Center, one of the largest climbing centers on the East Coast, attracts visitors from all over Central Florida. It features 6,500 square feet of climbing and 1,000 square feet of boulder climbing. Golfers can tee off at the Rolling Hills Golf Course and the Alaqua Country Club. Located on the shores of beautiful Wekiva Springs, the Wekiva Marina offers canoeing, kayaking, pontoon excursions, and sightseeing trips. The historic Big Tree Park is home to one of the oldest and largest cypress trees in America, and is a peaceful place for an afternoon picnic.  

Shopping

Shopping in Longwood is limited. There a handful of pharmacies, convenience stores, and supermarkets like Publix and Win-Dixie to grab the essentials. Along SR 434 you'll find hardware supply stores, furniture stores, and thrift shops mingled with part supply stores, specialty shops like Fishy Business, and computer repair shops. Longwood has no large shopping centers or malls, so if you need a wider selection, the nearby Altamonte Mall in Altamonte Springs or the Seminole Town Center in Sanford are both a short drive away and will be able to cater to your shopping needs.

Dining in Longwood

Longwood has many restaurants for you to choose from. Longwood's dining scene has a distinctive international flair. You'll find Indian, Italian, sushi, Korean cuisine, pizza, and seafood steps away from your front door. These restaurants, many of which are scattered along SR 434, generally offer seated dining. If you're in a rush, you'll be able to find a handful of take-out spots and fast food joints like Sonic and Pizza Hurt nearby as well.
