Apartments at 55 West are just steps away from Church Street and all of the excitement of downtown Orlando!

Moving to a new city and where you must learn a whole new area may seem a bit daunting at first. As a large city and tourism capital, Orlando has a lot of fun activities to offer, which makes exploring a fun adventure. Whether you're trying to take a break from studying or you're planning an outing with friends, Orlando has it all: food, theme parks, nightlife fun, and everything in between. The best part? All of it is just minutes away from your Full Sail apartment!

Top Golf

One of Orlando's newest additions is Top Golf, an anything but ordinary driving range. Here you play in a "bay" rather than a lane. All of the golf balls have microchips in them, tracking your swings and points as you hit the ball down range into giant targets. Bays can be rented by the hour and can fit up to six players. If you want to polish up on your golf skills, Top Golf also offers lessons. You can take individual lessons, group lessons or even take a class. There is more to this place than just golf. Top Golf has a menu filled with tasty treats and just in case you work up a thirst they also have a full bar with adult beverages. In addition, every weekday until noon or until 2 p.m. on weekends, you can enjoy brunch. This can be the perfect place to take a date or meet up with a group of friends, and it's only a short trip from your Full Sail apartment.

International Drive

International Drive is an 11.5 mile stretch of activities and entertainment running through Orlando. This entertainment mecca is about 45-minutes from your apartment at Full Sail. IDrive, as it's also called, is home to outlet malls, numerous restaurants and five theme parks, including: SeaWorld, Aquatica, Discovery Cove, Universal Studios, Islands of Adventure and Volcano Bay. Ripley's Believe It or Not and WonderWorks, an amusement park for the mind, can also be found here. You name it, I-Drive likely has it. Some of Orlando's best entertainment can be found along this 11-mile road. Go karts, glow in the dark mini golf and even a pirate dinner adventure! One of the most notable and newest additions to I-Drive is the Icon Park. Icon Park features 30 plus restaurants, Madame Tussaud's, the Orlando StarFlyer and the SEA LIFE Orlando Aquarium. You won't be able to miss the 400-foot-tall carousel, the Orlando Eye, that lights up the Orlando night sky! It'll be one ride you'll never forget.

Church Street

A short twenty minutes away from your Full Sail apartment is Church Street. If you're looking for entertainment in downtown Orlando, this is the street to be on! One of the bigger attractions is the Amway Center. If you're a sports fan you can catch a Solar Bears game, Orlando's very own professional hockey team or an Orlando Magic game. Popular musical artists also pop in to the center, such as Ariana Grande, Twenty One Pilots and Shawn Mendes. Check out a full event calendar here. Test your skills and potentially your friendships in the Great Escape Room! Are you a fan of the bohemian lifestyle? Take a stroll over to Thornton Park. Here you'll find clothing boutiques, organic juice bars, wine bars and cafes with outdoor seating. Looking for live music, drinks and a good atmosphere? Check out Baby Grands Dueling Piano bar. A great place to finish off the night.
