How is the party scene in Orlando? Will I have fun in a city like Orlando?

Regardless if you're outgoing or not, everyone needs to unwind a bit and just relax with a drink. The party scene in Orlando is best described as up and coming with a lot of areas becoming major destinations for partying. Bars, clubs, house parties, events – There is always something going on in Orlando that makes for an enjoyable city to live in. When you start your search for Orlando apartments there are a few key areas you'll want to look in.

The reason why people ask about the party scene in Orlando is that it is not well known. It's still up and coming. With the influx of population to the area and UCF growing to become the nation's largest university, there is a ton to look forward to in the realm of partying. While the partying scene may never eclipse Miami, the area has grown in it's own right a certain local flavor that people love.

What Orlando offers outside of international tourists and a major university is an up and coming downtown scene. The bars and clubs downtown have sprouted up over the years to create a fun atmosphere. Young and old, the crowd is enjoyable and people are having fun without breaking the bank.

Leave the button downs at home - the downtown area can be a very "chill" area if you want it to. There are some clubs that are great to go to after events downtown (such as after a Magic game) but the bars are the real gems of Orlando.  Some of my personal favorites are Chillers, which offer $1 drinks on Wednesdays with a beautiful rooftop bar that overlooks the city, and Cantina Downtown, which has the best Taco Tuesday in Florida.

Along with the amazing downtown scene, you'll find a great group of bars near UCF. Just recently relocated, the new Knight Librarywill now be located right next to World of Beerand more bars on University Blvd. All over East Orlando are some fun bars to kick it and have some drinks with friends.

If East Orlando isn't your thing, drive over to the I-Drive area to have a blast with tourists. Ice Baris an incredibly fun area to spend your New Years at. Also consider the Universal CityWalkarea.

Don't slouch on Winter Park either. If upscale bars and restaurants are your thing, this is a fantastic area to come to. My favorite place in this area The Wine Room on Park Avenue, a great wine tasting place located next to some swanky bars.

Write some of these down. When you're done watching a Magic gameor catching a performance at the upcoming Performing Arts Center, take a walk around Lake Eola and then get ready to party because Orlando has plenty of it!
