I love the downtown Orlando scene! How can I find inexpensive apartments in downtown Orlando?

Apartments in downtown Orlando provide you with luxurious living accommodations and position you near some of the best entertainment in Florida. You'll also live close to work and be mere minutes from transportation hubs such as interstates and airports so you can easily get around. But, price will be a factor and you may quickly realize these properties, while incredible, could exceed your budget. It is still possible to find inexpensive apartments in downtown Orlando, or very close by! Learn about the downtown area in our neighborhood guide and search for downtown apartment listings by filtering for price, number of bedrooms, amenities and and more using our custom search bars.

Let's face it, the convenience and atmosphere of calling the downtown neighborhood home comes with a need for an increased budget. Apartments that are within walking distance to the downtown bars and restaurants are typically luxury apartments that come with a luxury price tag. You may have to decide - is it worth it to pay the higher dollar amount to be able to walk home from your favorite bar after Friday night drinks? Do you work Downtown? Maybe your time is really valuable, and saving 40 minutes of commute time each day makes a steeper rent price each month worth it.

If your budget does not match up with the luxury apartment options downtown, we have some good news. This area of Orlando is well connected by major highways and public transportation, and this means you can live in an inexpensive apartment just outside of the city with minimal trouble commuting to work or your favorite entertainment spots. Many of the apartments just outside the downtown limit are still luxurious but have a price tag that may be more friendly to your wallet and lifestyle.

  • Apartments near the 408 East West Expressway

The 408 is a favorite road  for  many Orlando commuters. This road has a few different toll plazas that cost over a dollar, but this means that the road is rarely congested. You can find a very fairly priced apartment on the West side of Orlando in Ocoee or  Winter Garden and get to Orlando with a 15 minute commute.

  • Apartments near I-4

While I-4 traffic and congestion is always a factor to contend with, overall, apartments near I-4 are a pretty safe bet if you're looking to work in Downtown Orlando.

  • Winter Park Apartments

Winter Park is situated just North of Downtown Orlando. You should be able to take back roads to get to work Downtown, and should experience moderate traffic during peak times.

  • Millenia Apartments

Millenia is a popular area for commuters located South of Downtown Orlando. From Millenia, you can choose between  I-4 or S. John Young Parkway for your commute depending on traffic.
