I am moving into an Orlando apartment. What are some of the best bike trails near by?

Moving into an Orlando apartment and like to ride your bike? Orlando apartment owners have a few great options nearby if they want to put their cycling skills to the test. This article will point out just a couple of the best options available to Orlando area cyclists. Put the bike rack on the car, throw on some biking shorts, it is time to ride!

One of my favorite cycling trails in the Orlando area is the West Orange Trail in Winter Garden. While not technically in Orlando, the West Orange Trail is just a quick drive away for most West Orlando apartment owners. The West Orange Trail makes its start in Apopka, winds southward through Ocoee, jogs southwest towards Winter Garden and then heads straight west through Oakland. The great thing about the West Orange Trails are the many interesting stops along the way for Orlando apartment owners. Every couple miles there is a nice rest stop that usually includes a park, water fountains, playgrounds and bathrooms. This Orlando biking trail is 22 miles long and includes a paved pathway the entire way. It is also a great place to walk, run and rollerblade. Don't miss the nature preserve near the Oakland terminus of the West Orange Trail. Orlando apartment owners should not miss this trail if they are really into cycling.

Another great biking trail for Orlando apartment owners are the many cycling paths in Turkey Lake Park. Turkey Lake park is located on Hiawasee Road near the intersection of West Sand Lake Road. Orlando apartment owners should definitely visit Turkey Lake Park if they plan on spending a day outside with their bikes. Turkey Lake Park in Orlando offers winding biking trails past a pristine lake and under the shade of towering pine and oak trees. Bikers can enter the park for just $4 per car and ride all day. Turkey Lake Park also offers Orlando apartment owners  many other recreational options like: disc golf, hiking, fishing and beach volleyball.
