If you are looking for a unique dining atmosphere, many students can be found at the Mellow Mushroom, located at 2015 Aloma Avenue. This popular restaurant usually has a wait, and for good reason--- they won Best Pizza in the 2013 Orlando Dining Awards! The pizza is handmade and the unique concoctions will keep you coming back to try something new! Covered outdoor patio seating is wonderful in the spring, and on cool nights, heaters keep diners nice and warm.
Another popular food destination for students is Tijuana Flats. This popular Tex-Mex joint actually was started in Winter Park by a UCF student! With two locations close to Full Sail (one on Aloma, one on University Garden Drive), you may just find your classmates chowing down on a Megajuana burrito or nachos. With specials like Taco Tuesdaze (2 tacos, chips and a drink for $4.99), or Throwback Thursdaze (Tijuana burrito, chips and drink for $5.99), you'll save a ton of money while kicking back with your friends in this fun locale.
For a taste of New England, Boston's Fish House does not disappoint. Also located off of Aloma, their homemade clam “chowda” is one of the best in Orlando! Dinner time can see lines out the door, but with onion rings piled high and fresh fish flown in from New England, you will quickly see why this is a popular place! Tip: They are closed on Mondays and are closed each day from 3:25 to 4:00 p.m. to switch out the frying oil --- just another nod to their excellence!
Running late to class, but don't necessarily want fast food? Run into the Whole Foods on Aloma and choose items from their hot bar, salad bar, soups and more! While there, you can even pick up some items for your apartment fridge!
If you are looking for a night out with your friends and classmates, head to Park Avenue where various dining options light up the nightlife.
