There are a few things you can do to determine how safe you and your family will be at a new place. The first advice we have would be to contact your local police office. They will have records of any criminal activity and criminal incidents that have occurred there. Also doing something as simple as driving around the community during the daytime AND nighttime will give you an idea of how busy or quiet the community is at different points of the day.
