The love for brunch is a real thing; I mean, is there anything better than enjoying a beautiful weekend with your family and friends, sampling both bacon AND mimosas? Lucky for you, apartments in Orlando are near some of the hottest, most highly-rated brunch locations in all of Central Florida. While both Downtown Orlando and Winter Park's brunch game is strong, there are several outlying neighborhoods which are gaining momentum in this epicurean movement.

Brunch in South Orlando

MetroWest is located about ten minutes west of downtown, ten minutes from International Drive and a short drive from Disney World and the rest of the theme parks. This neighborhood appeals to both families and professionals with its convenient, centralized location - perfect for Orlando apartment living. Not often touted for its brunch spots, MetroWest does indeed have a few places that come highly recommended from local residents. The Crafted Block & Brew is known for its artisan approach to its menu and craft beer list. Oh, and their Saturday and Sunday brunch! With staples like fried green tomatoes, shrimp and grits, chicken and waffles and red velvet pancakes, what more could you want? Maybe a Mimosa, Sangria AND Bloody Mary Bar? Done!

Also worth a mention in MetroWest is Keke's Breakfast Café, which also has several other locations around the Orlando area.  They are known for their handmade dishes and fresh ingredients, especially their different varieties of waffles. Another brunch locale near your MetroWest apartment in Orlando is Teak Neighborhood Grill. Patrons enjoy brunch every Saturday and Sunday, complete with a special menu and Bloody Mary Bar.

The Millenia area of Orlando is located just off of Interstate 4 and is only minutes from its namesake landmark, the Mall at Millenia. Orlando apartments in this area are convenient to International Drive, Universal Studios, and the premier shopping and business district of downtown. With the majority of its dining establishments being chain-restaurants, Millenia still offers its residents a few brunch locations. Brio Tuscan Grille offers a brunch menu including hand-crafted omelets, classic egg benedicts and Italian espressos and cappuccinos. Not exactly in the Millenia area but less than 10 minutes away is International Drive with restaurants galore! A favorite brunch spot with the locals is Yard House, an upscale sports bar with brunch offerings such as pork poutine, lobster and crab meat omelets and a Sriracha Ginger Bloody Mary. With downtown also a short distance away, residents often travel to one of the many popular and highly-rated brunch locales dotting the area. These includes popular places such as Maxine's on Shine, Se7enbites Bake Shop, Kasa and more.

Brunch in North Orlando

Heading north away from the theme parks and downtown, Altamonte Springs offers a more suburban style of living for its residents. This growing area is home to both families and professionals alike, offering activities for just about any type of person. This area's central location is Crane's Roost, a beautiful lakeside park which holds outdoor events year round. Next to this area is a fabulous local place called Café Murano, which offers up brunch Italian style. Their famous "Jazz Brunch" is a popular destination for residents on Sundays, who enjoy live music along with unlimited Mimosas and Bellinis.

Another brunch spot in Altamonte which has quite the following is Santiago's Bodega. This is the second location in the Orlando area and locals flock to either one each Saturday and Sunday. Known for their brunch buffets, complete with candied bacon and fresh crab legs, patrons often have to make reservations well in advance to secure their spot. Make sure to wash it all down with a wide variety of bottomless Sangrias! For a more classic diner brunch in the Altamonte area, make sure you hit up Metro Diner, a place known for its wide variety of offerings (did you say, breakfast pizza?) and rather large portions!

Even further north is Sanford, a city located about 25 miles north of Downtown Orlando. It boasts a charming and quaint atmosphere, with brick-lined streets downtown and numerous small shops and restaurants. One of the most popular brunch locations in this area is Dexter's in the Colonial Town Plaza. While its address is technically Lake Mary, the Sanford city limits is within walking distance of the front door. This Orlando franchise offers up some of the best brunch in the area on Sundays, with unique benedicts, chicken -n-  biscuits and of course…unlimited Mimosas with a variety of flavor options!

Celery City Craft, located in the downtown Sanford area, offers Sunday brunch right alongside their craft beer. With a variety of quiches and some of the best brew in Florida, how could you go wrong?  The Tennessee Truffle is a small pop-up eatery in Sanford which offers quality southern food with a unique twist. Antebellum Grits, a BLTE (a typical BLT, with a fried egg) and Spiced Honey Nut Cheerio Ice Cream are just a few of the masterpieces they offer up on their menu.

Hungry yet? What are you waiting for, get out of your Orlando apartment and go to brunch!
