Are there any beaches in Orlando?

Unfortunately, there are no beaches in the city of Orlando. However, there are a handful of beaches near the Orlando area that you may decide to visit. However, trips to these different beaches may be an hour drive. Just a little over an hour away your Orlando apartment, you have Cocoa Beach. This beach is a convenient beach for Central Floridians, as yourself, to travel to. Cocoa beach stretched out to nearly five acres of recreational space. It is also surrounded with different types of Beach bum shops, eateries and boutiques. Most surfers head full force to this area. Canaveral National Seashore and Melbourne beach are also about an hour or hour and a half’s drive. Over on the Gulf Coast side, you have Treasure Island, which is just neat St. Petersburg. This drive will nearly two hours. Clearwater beach, which is just outside of the Tampa area, will be right under a two hour trip. However, this area will be able to provide you with a beach and city life all at once. Fort De Soto Beach is an area where you can camp over night and have the luxury to swim in lake or salt water. This beach park is a little over two hours. Other options to consider are Caladesi Island State Park, Anna Maria Island, Siesta Key and Long Boat Key which are all just over a two hour drive.
