For all of you Wally World lovers out there, there’s nothing better than having a WalMart RIGHT across from your community, and you can find that at Oak Forest. If it’s that extra egg you need for a cake you’re baking or last minute gift you need to grab for a birthday party, the convenience of having a super market just steps away from your front door is undeniable.
When I got to the leasing office, the staff was super excited to see me and couldn’t wait to take me around. As we walked throughout the community I immediately noticed the beautiful landscaping, from the huge weeping trees to the well maintained bushes and flowerbeds. It was refreshing to see a community use the native landscaping to add to the beauty of the property. They showed me the clubhouse where they hold residents activities, from bingo to manager brunches (where the managers actually cook and serve brunch for all of the residents… HOW COOL!) I also got to see one of the two pools, and one of two laundry facilities they have on-site.
The 2 bedroom 2 bath model that I checked out was amazing! The split floor plan was well laid out and allowed for a little bit of privacy for each bedroom. The ceilings were nice and tall giving a real sense of luxury and the kitchen had all the appliances you’d need. The patio/balcony was super spacious and it even had a closet for extra storage. Storage is a big issue for me, especially since I have a million shoes, purses, and junk that I’ve collected over the years but can’t bring myself to throw away. Between the walk in closets and the outdoor closet, I could keep my entire wardrobe AND have a place to store my Christmas tree and decorations!
Even though many people think that Ocoee is really far out there, there’s tons of shopping, restaurants, and entertainment right along SR 50 (Colonial Dr). With quick access to the Florida Turnpike, 408, and 429, commuting throughout Orlando is easy breezy. Best of all, Oak Forest offers 24 hour maintenance, which is something you’ll regret not having if something ever goes wrong. Whether it’s a leaking fridge or an overflowing toilet, the maintenance team, who actually live right in the community, are able to respond quickly to issues that arise.
