I absolutely love the UCF area! Between the Waterford Lakes shopping center and the bars and restaurants up and down University Blvd, there’s no chance you’ll ever be bored! As I was driving to Campus Crossings Alafaya all I could think about was all the places I wanted to go right afterwards! There is seriously so much to do in the area!
When I walked into the leasing office, even though the leasing agents were with residents, they greeted me and offered me coffee as I waited. I poked around as I was waiting, and discovered the game room/lounge area for the residents. There were gaming systems and a big screen TV with tons of games and movies available so residents can hang out and relax with their friends! I also saw the tanning room, which with my complexion I would never use, but it was a stand up booth so it's super convenient!
On my tour, we left from the leasing office and I noticed there were quite a few people standing outside. The leasing agent told me that the UCF shuttle bus comes right into the community to pick up residents. So you can grab a cup of coffee, pay your rent, and catch the bus all in the same place. The mail boxes are right there too, so on your way home you can grab your mail before you head to your apartment.
We walked over to the 4 bedroom 2.5 bath model which I was totally surprised by because it was townhome style. I learned that all of the units have a townhome style layout, which is kind of cool because if the people upstairs are making noise, you know that it’s your roommates! Townhomes really aren’t very typical around college campuses, and because they give such a homey feeling it is a feature I really liked!
The unit had wood style flooring and tile in the kitchen, which were standard features, and a full sized kitchen with a dining area. An extra pantry is available in the 4 bedroom 3.5 bathroom floorplans, however, there is more than enough cabinet space for storage. There is a non-furnished option available for those renters who wish to bring their own furniture. I took a walk upstairs and expected the rooms to seem really small and cramped, which is sometimes the feeling you’ll get in a townhome. To my surprise, the ceilings were so high which created a sense of luxury and elegance.
Now let’s talk about the bathroom because it is AWESOME! There is one bathroom upstairs with a sink and a toilet. Then there is ANOTHER bathroom with TWO sinks with lots of counterspace and then a toilet and shower which is separated by a door. This is so perfect for females getting ready and great for guys who are all trying to get stuff done at the same time. The laundry area is upstairs, which is great because it’s away from the traffic in the main living areas downstairs where guests are. On top of that, they are full sized washers and dryers!
My tour ended with seeing both pools and the gym. The main pool is behind the clubhouse/leasing office which is where they hold their big annual pool party. The second smaller pool is located further into the community next to the gym. The gym has 24 hour access and includes fans, a TV, and even free weights. The other events the community holds throughout the year are the game night, manhunt, basketball tournaments, and a haunted house.
You have to check out this community because with their awesome location, endless amenities, and GREAT prices you’d be silly not to consider them for you next place! You’ll love it at Campus Crossings at Alafaya…take it from me!
