Additionally, a new complex was recently built just south of the heart of downtown Orlando, which includes a Super Target, T.J. Maxx, and several other dining and shopping options. The complex is named SODO for South of Downtown Orlando, and its upper stories are comprised of live-work apartments available to rent. The Fashion Square Mall is just minutes from the center of downtown Orlando, located on Colonial Drive (Hwy 50).
Traffic And Driving In Downtown Orlando
Some major intersections in the downtown Orlando area include the corner of Orange Avenue and Michigan Avenue, the corner of Orange Avenue and Colonial Drive, the corner of Orange Avenue and Anderson Road, and the corner of Bumby Road and Colonial Drive. Downtown Orlando provides easy access to major highways including Interstate 4 (I-4), the East-West Expressway (SR 408), and Colonial Drive (Hwy 50).
